Fully comprehensive assessment
What to expect in your assessment!
The fully comprehensive assessment is for those who suffer from long standing or complex pain patterns. As an individual will have many previous and un-seemingly innocuous injuries, conditions, surgeries that you will not have taken into account - for us these are essential key jigsaw pieces that help us from the picture.
Due to the complex nature of these issues it takes time to identify the many possible causes they may attribute towards the current pain and symptoms you may have. It is likely you would have seen some or many professionals with different skill sets but maybe need to get a further opinion or try a different approach. We use a system of assessment which allows the body to reveal key areas of distress and a ‘software - hardware’ approach to removing these factors. To date we have been the ‘last resort’ for many people and delivered some excellent results.
A client came to us after continuously rolling their ankles whilst out running. A prime example of why we treat the source, not just the symptoms!
The ‘Software System’
When we talk about the ‘software system’ we are referring to the most complex system, your brain!
Your assessment will begin with the RightEye ‘functional brain scan’. This allows us to determine whether any old injuries are still affecting you. From here we go through a variety of biomechanical and functional tests to delve deeper into the source of your pain.
From here we are able to put a rehabilitation plan in place for you.
The ‘Hardware System’
After assessing the ‘software system’ we move onto assessing the ‘hardware system’. By this, we are referring to the rest of your body!
During this assessment we will take into consideration the likes of your posture, gait (walking and running patterns) and range of motion to help us delve deeper into where the source of your pain is.
The Rehab Plan
What is functional neurology?
Once we are happy that our various assessment strategies have allowed us to narrow down the source of your pain we are able to begin treatment!
Your treatment plan will likely consist of 4, 8 or 12 sessions. This will vary entirely depending upon what we discover in your assessment.
The therapies that we use to treat will also vary from:
Functional Neurology - Working alongside the nervous ‘software’ system
Laser Assisted Massage - working with the ‘hardware system’ to reduce inflammation and rapidly enhancing recovery
Functional Movement - working through a variety of movement patterns and exercise to help your body overcome old patterns
